Danielle + James | Grosse Pointe Yacht Club Bridal Shower | Detroit Wedding Photographer

I have been dying to get this blog post up! Not only because I miss wedding season like crazy and this helped to fill that void a little bit ;), but also because this shower was one of the most beautiful showers I have ever seen. Every little detail for Danielle’s bridal shower was absolutely gorgeous. Her mother, along with some close friends really did an incredible job putting this shower together.

Can we talk about the desert table for a minute? How amazing does everything look?! You would think everything was straight out of a fancy bakery, but a friend of Danielle’s mother actually made all the tasty treats! I’m getting hungry just thinking back to it hahha.

One of the most sentimental parts of the shower was Danielle’s dress. Her dress was actually her grandmother’s wedding dress from almost 70 years ago. How crazy is that?! She had it altered…actually the only thing that was altered were the sleeves and the length, everything else is completely original; all of the beading, everything! Make sure you scroll down and see the photo of her grandmother wearing the original dress.

I was able to sneak in a couple quick portraits of Danielle and James after the shower, and I am so glad that I took the time to do so. I could literally shoot in the ballroom at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club every day. It is the most classic and elegant ballroom I have ever gotten a chance to shoot in and I am obsessed! If anyone is getting married there anytime soon, give me a call 😉 hahah. But in all seriousness, it was such an honor to photograph Danielle’s bridal shower. Everyone was so wonderful to work with and I am so glad that our paths crossed.
