Liz and Matt’s wedding was the perfect ending to my 2017 wedding season. It was incredibly cold for December, but SO worth it. I’m not kidding when I say that winter weddings may be my new favorite. There is just something so magical about the snow and holiday decor all around.
I have been looking forward to Liz and Matt’s at The Dearborn Inn since our very first meeting. Not only is it a classic and timeless venue, but Liz’s grandparents also had their wedding at the same location 60 years ago! How awesome is that?! I love when my couples incorporate sentimental things into their wedding day, and I don’t think it could get much cooler than being at the same venue as your grandparents.
The Dearborn Inn served as a gorgeous backdrop for photos, but we also ventured to downtown Detroit for a few extra photos. Some of these portraits are my new favorites for sure. Liz, Matt and their bridal party were such troopers in the 15 degree weather, and I am so glad that we went for it and got so many beautiful images.
It’s hard to choose your favorite images when every detail of the day was so beautiful, but I managed to narrow it down as much as I could!
Liz and Matt, thank you SO much for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I feel so blessed to have been a part of your day and hope you love these photos as much as I do!
