Let me just start by saying how incredibly blessed and honored I feel to have this career of mine. Being a photographer has been one of the most fulfilling jobs I’ve ever had. I am my own business owner (which can be incredibly difficult), I get to do something that I love so much, and the best part about it all is that photography has introduced me to SO many amazing people.
Michael and I went to Nashville, Tennessee in August because, let’s be honest, we are slightly obsessed with the city (and state!) and really would love to move there one day. Before we left I had posted on Instagram that I really wanted to do a shoot while we were down there and that I was looking for some models. I was getting really discouraged because I wasn’t getting any responses. Not long before we headed to Nashville I got a message from Elise that she and her husband, Matt, were interested in modeling for the shoot. Elise seemed incredibly sweet through her messages, but in real life she and Matt were even sweeter and they showed up looking drop dead gorgeous! It was totally meant to be. The power of the internet really is incredible.
I had chosen the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in downtown Nashville for the shoot location. Everything about it from the architecture of the building to the landscaping has such a classic and elegant look. Elise wore an amazing long flowy dress from Needle and Thread and Matt’s blue suit complimented her perfectly. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you see the photos 😉 As happy as I am that Michael and I met these two, I am so sad that the shoot was the last day of the trip instead of the first! I have a feeling we would’ve had a lot of fun with Elise and Matt showing us around Nashville..but that only gives us an excuse to go back ASAP :-p
