Genna and Matt have been in front of my camera a couple of different times now, so it was no surprise they were pros on their wedding day! I took some photos for Genna a few years ago when she graduated from Oakland University and they have been amazing clients of mine ever since. I love getting to work with the same couples and families over the years as their lives change. It really is an honor to be a photographer; especially a wedding photographer!

All week long the forecast called for rain. Sure enough all morning it rained and everyone was accepting the fact that Genna and Matt’s wedding ceremony was going to be indoors because of the weather. There were other plans though. Genna knew she was going to get married outside just like she had envisioned. She asked me if she should risk it and I told her if she has her heart set on it, then I 100% believe you should go with your gut. Fast forward a few hours later and the rain had stopped. It was coming back later, but it had stopped just long enough for Genna and Matt to have their wedding ceremony outside and it was absolutely beautiful! After the ceremony we had time for some portraits and it began to rain just before we headed inside for the reception. It’s funny how things work out sometimes. I think Genna and Matt definitely had someone looking out for them on their wedding day, and I am so glad I was able to be a part of their special day.
