MEET Erika

AH!! I cannot believe that I get to post about my very first styled shoot! It was honestly everything I could’ve dreamed of and I already cannot wait be be apart of another one!

A few months ago Loren from LDT Events and I said “let’s do a styled shoot!” I was 100% on board, but I had no idea how much work it would be! I created a Pinterest board of inspiration for what kind of style we were going for. The theme was elegant and classic so I had all kinds of gorgeous flowers, cakes, decor, etc. pinned on my board. The next step was to pull together a team of vendors to help make our vision come true. We actually had planned to do this shoot in May, but things fell through and we weren’t able to get all of the vendors figured out in time. I wholeheartedly believe in the saying “everything happens for a reason” because after postponing the shoot we were able to team up with a dream team of wedding vendors.

Another one of those “everything happens for a reason” things…we originally had another location in mind on Belle Isle, but it was SO busy and jam packed that there was no way it was going to work out there. So, last minute I threw out some other locations and I think we found where we were meant to be. I really believe that God knew what we wanted for this shoot and he led us in the right direction because the new location went absolutely perfect with our classic and elegant theme. Oh, it also ended up being 95 degrees that day, but everyone was such troopers. We live in Michigan so I can never complain about the heat; I’ll take it when I can get it 😉

Without further ado…here are some of my favorite photos from the shoot.

p.s. I apologize in advance for how much I will be posting these photos on social media. If you don’t follow me on Instagram yet and would love to see these stunning photos as well as my upcoming wedding work head on over to www.instagram.com/erikachristinephoto and follow me 🙂
