I don’t even know where to begin. Caitlin and Nick’s entire wedding weekend was amazing. The wedding was in Charlevoix, Michigan at Shanahan’s Barn so we spent the whole weekend up there! Everyone was so worried that it was going to thunderstorm the day of the wedding because that’s what the forecast was saying (when are the weather people ever right though? :-p). It turned out to be the most beautiful sunny day in northern Michigan and it was a perfect day for a wedding!
The barn looked absolutely gorgeous. Caitlin’s mother was in charge of the decorating and she did an amazing job. The bouquets were put together perfectly by Caitlin’s aunt and they were SO pretty! It truly does take an army to plan a wedding. Caitlin and Nick’s families put so much time and effort into making their wedding perfect and I don’t think they could have done a better job!
We took some photos at Shanahan’s barn and then Caitlin, Nick and I headed to a little spot down the road right on Lake Michigan. I think sometimes living in Michigan we take for granted how beautiful the state is and how blessed we are to be surrounded by the Great Lakes. Northern Michigan is one of my favorite places and I am so glad that my 2017 wedding season started off at such a beautiful location with such a sweet couple. I truly do have the best job in the world!
