Alexandra & Paul | Romantic Michigan Summer Wedding

Alex and Paul’s wedding holds a special place in my heart. My family grew up down the street from Paul’s family and I actually went to middle school with Alex! The world really is so small. This wedding was definitely a long time in the making and it is obvious that these two were meant to be together.

After a little stretch of cooler weather, Summer came back in full force for one last weekend before Fall begins. It was an absolutely perfect day for a wedding. Alex and Paul were married at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families, formerly St. Clement Catholic Church, which just so happens to be where Paul, his sisters, me and my brothers all went to school! Since I’ve been shooting weddings, I have wanted to shoot a wedding there and this was the perfect opportunity.

Alex and Paul spend a lot of time boating and LOVE the water, so it was only fitting that their reception was on Lake St. Clair at Mac Ray Harbor! I made sure we snuck in a few photos of the two of them by the water because I know that is their happy place. I love when couples are true to themselves and have a wedding that represents them perfectly.

It was such an honor to photograph your wedding, Mr. & Mrs. Belbot! I love you both and wish you so much happiness. I hope you love the photos and I can’t wait to share the full gallery with you 🙂
